Located on the eastern shore of Lake Naivasha, the Naivasha Peninsula is a special place in Kenya.

Established in 1988, Crescent Island, often referred to as “Naivasha’s Best Kept Secret”, is a protected and private place. During your walk, a guide will accompany you. A true peninsula, Crescent Island can be reached both by water after a short boat ride.

Crescent Island is also home to many animals: giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, and impalas. But it is also a true paradise for bird lovers. With more than 200 species of birds (fish eagles, ospreys, cormorants, pelicans), the lake is also home to many hippos.

The location of many film scenes, Crescent Island is best known for the film ‘OUTOF AFRICA’. Thanks to its flat terrain, this walk is accessible to everyone. From the top of the hill, you can admire the view of the lake.
